About me

About me – hypnosis in  Kent

My name is Debbie O’Neill and I am a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist offering hypnosis in  Kent for a range of issues.

I am conveniently situated just off junction 4 of the M2 and easily accessible with free parking and within close proximity of many local towns, including;

  • Chatham
  • Parkwood
  • Maidstone
  • Rainham
  • Rochester.
  • Upnor,
  • Waldersalde
  • Wigmore

I am only twenty to forty minutes’ drive from other Kent towns such as

  • Canterbury.
  • Dartford
  • Faversham
  • Gravesend,
  • Sheppey

I use a variety of psychotherapeutic and hypnotherapy techniques to gain results including NLP (neurolinguistic programming) and Cognitive Behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH).

When you come to me for treatment you can be assured that you are being treated by a properly qualified therapist working to the highest standards and abiding by very strict rules of conduct by my governing bodies.

As Hypnotherapy is not yet a regulated profession, anyone can do a course and claim to be a Hypnotherapist.

However, only properly qualified hypnotherapists can register with BSCH and CNHC as well as the Hypnotherapy directory.

Please see all three websites for details of my listings as well as my services page for hypnosis in Kent.

I completed a Bachelor of Science with honours degree in Psychology, which is where my interest in Hypnotherapy first began.

I then went on to complete both the CPPD and the Post graduate certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy at The University of West London.

This is the only training institution that offers Post graduate University qualifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy in the UK.

You can be assured that when you come to DO Hypnosis you are in the hands of a fully qualified and competent professional with high quality training.

I am a fully licensed practitioner of the Hypno-band. Only fully qualified hypnotherapists can offer this form of weight loss.

Code of Conduct

I am a member of the national professional body the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. , and I also have regular Clinical Supervision and continuing professional development.

I am also a member of The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) in the UK which is a voluntary regulator for complementary therapists, set up with government support to protect the public.

I am also a member of the Hypnotherapy directory

I hold professional indemnity Insurance and abide strictly by the rules and code of conduct of both societies listed above.

When I work with my clients I use a variety of methods to get results, this includes Cognitive Behavioural therapy and NLP. This simply means that I can specifically target and adapt my treatment to each individual client.

Every one of us is different and every one of us will respond differently to hypnosis. My approach to your hypnotherapy sessions means that each and every session is completely personalised to you.

After our initial telephone discussion (or email -whichever you prefer) I will conduct an initial face to face case assessment with you which will be up to 90 minutes long.  During this session I will explain what Hypnosis is and how it works, gain an in depth history of your symptoms and discuss all of your concerns.

I will then tailor make your therapy specifically for you and advise you how many sessions you are likely to require reaching your goal.

I am happy to say that I am now working face to face with clients again. I have put in place strict Covid-19 safety measures in line with Government guidance to keep my clients safe .
I would ask that clients continue to choose online sessions over face to face sessions but I do appreciate that this does not suit all clients.

Any client wishing to work face to face will be asked to fill out a Covid-19 risk assessment and to sign a Covid-19 liability waiver.
